Australian Author Justin Sheedy Featured at The London Book Fair 2016

21 April 2016

London Book FairLast week Sydney-based author Justin Sheedy was delighted to see a selection of his books on display at The London Book Fair 2016, apt as Sheedy’s Nor the Years Condemn & Ghosts of the Empire tell an iconic British story from a ground-breaking Australian point of view.

Set in 1940s London & throughout the UK, these novels bring alive the stunning true story of the British Empire boys who flocked to the UK to fly Spitfires in World War Two, the British girls who loved them, and the mothers cursed to let them go. Now market proven and loved by Australian readers (plus by UK readers in limited UK distribution) these books are RIPE for major UK publication & distribution with Book 3 in the trilogy, No Greater Love, set for release July 2016. Thus will come full circle Sheedy’s saga of shining young men destined never to grow old and of those who do: the survivors ‘condemned by the years’ and to their memory of friends who remain forever young.

Since 2009, Sheedy has published 4 now well-loved books which have seen him invited as a guest author to Australia’s prestigious Byron Bay Writers’ Festival, Gloucester Writers’ Festival and Bundaberg WriteFest. He had no less than 5 sell-out book-signing events in 2015 at Australia’s premier bookstore, Dymocks Sydney, as well as media appearances on ABC Radio National, Radio 2UE Sydney, Channel Seven News Sydney and in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Nor Greater Love by Justin Sheedy

No Greater Love due for release July 2016

Stocked by The Australian War Memorial as well as bookstores Australia-wide, Nor the Years Condemn & Ghosts of the Empire are intensively based in true World War Two history though written in Sheedy’s easy-to-read, grippingly page-turning style, as a result enjoying the very widest reader demographic appeal. Full of Sheedy’s trademark humour and white-knuckle excitement, the emotional richness of his writing ensures reader tears flow in response to his heroic, tragic, anti-war stories. In addition, UK readers will engage with Sheedy’s works for their ‘local’ relevance, set as they are in wartime London, Hornchurch, Bournemouth, Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Lincolnshire, Scotland and Wales, as well as in Normandy, Paris and Berlin.

All of Justin Sheedy’s books are currently available for UK readers in ebook & print-on-demand paperback format from Waterstones Online, also Amazon UK, for U.S. readers via Amazon and Barnes & Noble, for Australian readers on Dymocks bookstore shelves and online, and via all good bookstores.
