Author Justin Sheedy Christmas 2015 Book Event – Dymocks Sydney
If you’re planning on giving truly rewarding Christmas gifts this year, go no further than Dymocks George Street Sydney on Sunday 20 December for a signed copy of Justin Sheedy’s Australian historical novels, Nor the Years Condemn and Ghosts of the Empire. Recently praised by a Dymocks customer as up there with such Australian literary classics as We of the Never-Never, Poor Man’s Orange and The Shiralee, Sheedy’s novels bring alive the stunning true history of the young Australians who flew Spitfires, Mosquitos and Lancasters against the forces of Nazi tyranny in World War II: a tale so exciting, heroic and tragic as to defy belief and yet true.
Sheedy will present an Australian War Memorial Red Poppy of Remembrance to the first 40 Christmas shoppers for whom he signs a copy. Also available on the day, limited copies of Goodbye Crackernight, Sheedy’s laugh-out-loud portrait of childhood in 1970s Australia, and its long-awaited sequel, Memoirs of a Go-Go Dancer. This will be Sheedy’s 5th book-signing event at the store for 2015.
Date: Sunday, 20 December, 2015 / Time: From 10am / Venue: Dymocks Sydney, 424-430 George St, Sydney / Cost: Free (no bookings required) / Enquiries: (02) 9235 0155 or firstname.lastname@example.org
2015 has already been a stellar year for Sheedy with 4 sell-out book-signing events at Australia’s premier bookstore, also a string of media appearances on ABC Radio 702, Radio 2UE and Channel 7 Sydney News. He is currently writing Book 3 in his Nor the Years Condemn trilogy, No Greater Love, set for release in 2016.
